Sasuke loving Sakura is NOT canon. In non, nor Sakura Hiden nor Sasuke Shiden this is canon and specially not on Gaiden. In fact what those SS shippers claim to be a “confession” of love is not.
Sasuke NEVER said that he loves Sakura, it was always only Sakura, from Sakura’s side since they were kids. On Gaiden she even said to Sarada that Sasuke did love them and cared for them putting aside the fact that she couldn’t explain to a 5-6 old why her father wasn’t there or couldn’t accept the fact that they never kissed why using the excuse of “something better than a kiss” aka the poke that on canon was used by Itachi to apart Sasuke away from him.
(something to point here is that Sasuke’s mission begun when Naruto was already a Hokage and Sarada was 8-9 years old, that is canon and is on Gaiden)
SS fans tend to use what Sasuke said on Gaiden as some kind of confession of love when that is not true.
What Sarada asked him was “Are you and mom’s feelings really connected?” for what he wait a few minutes to answer with an empty “Yes”
Because we have you.
That is all, in non moment he said that they make her out of their fucking love or that their “hearts are connected”
That is completely biased.
Now the curious thing is that Sasuke could had said
“Because I love you both”
“Because I love your mom”
You don’t need a child to love someone, Sasuke said “you” because is true, the only thing for what they are connected is her.
Let me putt it this way, Sasuke had 11 years without seeing his family even when he had the time and he could at least send them a picture or a letter and even before of his dangerous mission. Sakura herself said that their date only lasted 2 and half minutes and that Sasuke doesn’t contact her
So why would Sasuke return for her if he didn’t did it even on Sasuke Shiden (in where he actually came back because of Naruto’s letter)
Why? Because Sarada started to make questions and look for her own dad. Sakura didn’t knew shit about the Uchiha clan, Sarada had to go to a library to find something about her past and her clan.
Is in fact because of Sarada that they meet again, is because of her that Sasuke is still with Sakura. She was the one who looked for him, she was the one who asked him why he wasn’t with her mom.
That is not a confession of love, is just the true. Sarada is the only reason why Sasuke still has any kind of connection with Sakura.
He didn’t said “we make you out of love” or some kind of shit like “our hearts are connected” no
That is not true and that is not an I love you.
Is canon that Sasuke hasn’t told her that he loves her nor kiss her (and yes ss fans you don’t need to kiss to have a baby lol)
Kishimoto himself said that he didn’t wrote the reason of Sakura’s love for Sasuke because he doesn’t have one.
He said too that Sarada’s mother was up to “us”
Sasuke reject her kiss at the end of Gaiden too. And pardon me but that is not “teasing” , take in mind that Sasuke hasn’t seem her like for a decade what would he naturally do would be kiss his wife right?
Yet he didn’t.
“He is just too cold, he doesn’t show his feelings or talk about it, you don’t know his character!”
Yet he didn’t had any problem having a long ass talk with Naruto about how much he means to him, or with Itachi or even with Team Taka. Yet he transforms into “innocent and shy” Sasuke when it comes to Sakura?
Kishimoto was a troll on Sasuke Shiden by totally ignoring Sakura and Sasuke’s nonexistent relationship and poiting how much Sakura loves him.
That’s the point. Sakura, is always Sakura and even when she thinks that maybe Sasuke doesn’t love her she denied fast
Sasuke had never show or even said that he loves Sakura yet he did said that he didn’t
Ho, he can say that he doesn’t love her but he is shy when it comes to show how much he loves her?
Curious. But yes let’s say that he doesn’t want to say it but he do show it
Still Gaiden or Naruto as a whole wouldn’t work because he almost killed Sarada because he didn’t remember her, he rejected his own wife, he refused to go with his family when he had time, he leaved her with his child for mostly a decade. ETC.
That is not a proof of love in my dictionary hon.
Sasuke had never said that he loves her nor show it, that is canon.
He cares for her? Of course, she is his team friend since they were kids, he obviously cares for her but that is all.
Sakura wasn’t even that special for him since he didn’t even needed to kill her to be finally “alone”
And that is canon.
Also, Sasuke acting like a normal father is NOT indicative of him loving Sakura. He’s not so heartless to not care for his child.

Hawks. What is it about those gallant birds of prey that makes them so special?
By birthright they reign the sky. Their gingery brown bodies soaring across the heavens, slicing through the clouds using their vast, beautiful wings, while searching for prey with such eloquence and preseverance. Their figures standing prominent against the bright blue above, with only small pockets of clouds to hide them; but what did they need to hide from anyways?
The red tailed hawks rode the thermals above as if they were in a graceful trance. Their wings beating in the air as if it took no effort at all, each movement precisely on time as it should be. Inside their fragile bodies their hearts were beating, their lungs expanding, muscles moving, all enclosed beneath their domineering exterior. Fragile little creatures all living with the strong will and spark for survival. And after all, there was nothing to stop the determined.
Sasuke Uchiha was much like so of the above. Calcutative, precise, cunning and all the while gracefully intimidating; but with the strong, and passionate flame of determination. He was once just as weak as a baby hatching; small, sheltered and defenceless. By human standards, a small child who had yet to know about the atrocities and wonders of the world.
Trauma, pain, physical and mental torture, mainpulation, and the absolute order to remain forever silent. How can one then expect someone to remain fine, let alone sane, after such kind of treatment. Hurt by his brother, and then manipulated by the mad mastermind behind his torture, and then his own government, he had been thoroughly taught to be a soundless person, incapacitated of his own free will.
The rest of his life was dyed in grey, each second’s passing more painful than the last. He had no will, no ambition, and no present goals. He was robbed of a future, past and present. He was robbed of the ones he cared about and his ability to trust others. What he did learn instead from this hurricane of emotional disasters was independance.
And thay alone, was what made him the being he id now; silent and emotionless. He was no less than a blank plate who could be easily written over, but more or so because of the thorough interjection that he was no longer human, but a weapon kept at bay. Precisely that was whay kept him alive for all these years.
What worth does survival carry when there is no worth in surviving in a land that will never hold a better tomorrow. Circumstances may change over time, but the mental wounds never do no matter how long you wait. They will always remain.
Sasuke Uchiha was much, like a dying hawk; with his will for survival crushed, shattered, and brutally trampled over. That passionate flame that once seemed eternal no longer burning with the same intensity, but now reduced to a flicker that may be blown any given second. He had become like a mindless body walking upon a blind path to nothingness, with his heart and soul now in chains reigned by the very system he wanted to shatter. It’s frightening how everything can change within a second, isn’t it? That is why they tell you to never loose determinstion.
You see, this world is cruel and people change. Influence is change, but so is manipulation and trauma. Sasuke Uchiha was not a hawk, but a simple human, who, despite everything, had no practical knowlege.
His life wasn’t that different from a hawk’s in theory, but it was vastly different. Despite his abilities, which, without a shred of doubt were excellent, he was used, by not one, two, or three but by coutless people. His life was a mere toy, his claws were not weapons that he had any fiat over.
But it didn’t matter, because everything is okay outside that phlegmatic facade.

A/N:I don’t know why, I’m just going to give up writing at this point. Mostly because I know whatever I write is gonna turn out as crap. There are a lot of other submissions that are so much deeper and better than mine, honestly I don’t know why I even bother to try.
I’ll just do this challenge until the end and give up. I’m just an amature weiter wannabe anyways. I should give up before I embarass myself any further.
